New Russian River Health & Wellness Center

“The Health Center of the Future”

From Ashes to Opportunity

Founded in 1974 by community members and doctors from the National Health Service Corps, Russian River Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center with a strong commitment to provide comprehensive, quality & accessible health care services to the Russian River area. After serving the community for 42 years, the Russian River Health Center suffered the profound effects of a devastating fire on December 26th, 2015 when its main facility burned down.
The crisis created by the fire has given West County Health Centers the opportunity to build The Health Center of the Future. The New Russian River Health & Wellness Center will be a three story OSHPD-3 compliant medical, dental & behavioral health facility located on 1.8 park-like acres in Guerneville. We envision the New Russian River Health & Wellness Center as a community hub for health & well-being where community members meet one another, and access critical health care services.

The strength of our Health Center is in the people… our staff, our care teams, our patients and our community. We will rebuild our Russian River Health Center building and we look forward to the opportunity to create something even better for our patients.” – Mary Szecsey, Former Chief Executive Officer, West County Health Centers
